The Leading Learners Institute believes not all education problems are created equal and that new discoveries in Improvement Science and Design Thinking can help any educational organization develop their capacity to create new generative solutions to seemingly intractable problems.

Improvement Science: Based on a methodology that disciplines inquiries to improve practice and is based on three basic questions.

  1. What is the specific problem we are trying to solve?
  2. What change might I introduce and why?
  3. How will we know whether the change is actually an improvement?

Improvement coaching raises an organization’s expectations of the types of problems they are capable of solving.

Design Thinking: Based on a problem solving methodology that works backwards from the user experience to solve some of society’s largest problems.
